Maturing AI out of its infancy

The team who oversees IT systems and applications, hardware, software, WiFi, and tracking at Aertssen Group, believes in the effectiveness of collaborating with specialists to bring this vision to life. “Just because our systems and data were ready for AI and we had many good ideas for leveraging its power, didn’t mean we knew how to use it as a driving force for innovation,” they say.

“AI is a relatively new phenomenon and difficult to deploy without outside support. We find it extremely helpful to have an external sounding board of experienced AI professionals close by.”

From hackathons to centers of AI excellence

The first step was identifying potential use cases for AI at Aertssen Group. That’s why we co-hosted an AI hackathon with Nimbuz for the management team. Participants came up with innovative solutions and creative ideas, which we narrowed down to a shortlist of the most promising and actionable options.

We’ve also kicked off a strategic initiative focused on creating an internal AI Center of Excellence within Aertsen. This will help them build up AI know-how in-house and assemble the perfect team to lead these AI projects to success. Additionally, we’re supporting the technical implementation and practical execution of AI projects.

“MbarQ has assisted in setting up structures and guiding projects related to AI,”Aertssen Group adds. “Take the processing of handwritten time registrations and maintenance documents in remote areas such as deserts, for example. MbarQ has deployed AI to read, interpret, and process these texts for payroll, time registration, and invoicing, which has already led to significant time savings.”

Ongoing support and future innovation

While the initial project development stages laid a solid foundation for long-term success, we are currently guiding Aertssen Group in establishing structures for future AI projects.
Our team, consisting of AI strategy consultants and AI translators, is working closely with Aertssen Group’s technical team to seamlessly incorporate AI-supported systems into their core operations.
